Dr. Anna Dinallo, PhD, DOM

Hello!

I have been working in the field of mental health and somatic counseling for over 12 years and have supported hundreds of students and clients through emotional stress. In addition to being a therapist (LPC), I am also a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine ( DOM) and have been teaching yoga for 13 years.  I am a passionate researcher in the field of transpersonal psychology and have over a dozen published articles, interviews, and books. Helping others heal and find self-realization is my life passion!
Moreover, I know how disappointing it can be to have talk therapy when the body needs tending. When seeking therapy, it’s helpful to understand the distinction between approaches that emphasize the body (embodied) and those that are primarily non-embodied. Embodied therapies, like somatic psychotherapy, focus on physical sensations, movement, and the body’s role in processing emotions and trauma from an ancestral lens.
